Luke Chueh original painting “The Possessed” has finally been turned into a vinyl toy by Munkyking. There are two version a white version (1000 made) and a black version (250 made).

There is also a silkscreen print available, for those who maybe don’t collect vinyl figures. It’s 9×13″ on chipboard and only 250 of them will be made. The print is available now, it looks like you’ll have to wait till the 31st release party for the figures.

Original Painting by Ian D Seniff

Teh above piece is entitled “Boo Who?”, its 10×15″ and is made with ink, acrylic and pencil on bristol board.

I think the piece looks great, the brushwork on it looks very energetic. This piece only has 10 hours left so don’t wait.

He also has another auction that is quite unique, head on over to check it out. Both are helping this artist out as well as the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

aotd: “My New Monster”

My_New_Monster_by_Keun_chul.jpg
Today’s piece is by an artist by the name of JANG KEUN-CHUL.

I really like his style, nice and textural and dark. This piece and few others he has made really remind of the painting of Zdzisław Beksiński, if you haven’t seen Beksinki’s work you should really make it a point. You’ll be able to see similarities, but Jang Jeun-Chul does have his own style.

Take a look at his Profile, he also has prints for sale there: Jang Keun-Chul

Original work from Sarah Joncas

Sarah Joncas (the first interview I had here) has a few available works at the Thinkspace Gallery.
As of yet none of them have been bought. Two smaller study paintings and one large 24×24 dyptich painting. The 12.6 “Bottom Feeder Study” (above) looks amazing, but of course I would be happy owning any of them.

She also has a show coming up this weekend that I will post. So, alot of her work will be available soon, so no point in waiting to buy.

aotd: “Dragonfly Land”

Dragonfly_land_by_AstralWind.jpg
I love photography, but i’m a sucker for photos that have a nostalgic look to them. Any photo correctly done that makes me feel like being somewhere else, or in another time period. Or maybe it just fondly reminds me of places I have been to.

This is really a great shot from photographer Maja Homen , among many the photographer already has. Great color and the depth of field is perfect.

Head on over to her homepage to see more of her work.

Joe Ledbetter original

There is a pretty good amount of Joe Ledbetter prints on eBay if your looking. There is also an original up there right now.

It acrylic on wood I believe, 16 x20. I guess this is one in which Joe calls his “Frankenstein” piece, a culmination of all his characters into one. Looks pretty cool (right side up at least), I would like to see a better picture of it though.

aotd: “How Doth the Little Crocodile”

how_doth_the_little_crocolile__by_plainme.jpg

Todays piece come from an artist with a really creative style. Darren Hopes, otherwise known as “Plainme” has a great painterly style that seems to blend between painted and graphic design.

If you take a look at his gallery you’ll see many works that show that his style is consistent and very much his own. I really dig his work, I chose this piece for the colors and of course because I love Alice in Wonderland.

New Prints at Copro Nason

Copro Nason Gallery has some new prints for sale. Adding to their already killer print selection is some new works by the following artists: Naoto Hattori (above print), Amy Sol, and Thomas Han.

Each one of these new prints are framed, and each seem to be a giclee on board. Being framed already is quite convenient, you can buy one these prints and then just put it up on the wall, as opposed to having to store the prints till you can afford to frame them. Like I have to do.

aotd: “Grim Self Portrait”

Grim_Self_Portrait_by_CreepySeb.jpg
This image is from John Cebollero. It’s a self portrait he did along with some works for the Topps “Hollywood Zombies” cards.

This painting is done in acrylic, I only wish I had this much control with acrylic paint. It looks great, nice and old looking as well.

Head over to his site to see even more works, he has a really cool style.

aotd: “Take Two”

taketwo_danmay.jpg
This image is called “Take Two” and its by Dan May, its acrylic and is only 5″ x 5″.

I love what he does with acrylic, nice big brush strokes on the background and great rich colors for the figures. His whole gallery is quite trippy.

He currently has work in a show at Gallery 1988 in San Francisco called “The Onset”, its a group show with some great artists such as: Amanda Vissell, Aaron Jasinski, Brandi Milne and so on.
The show started the 15, and will go till June 16.

You can also snag some prints from Dan May at BlueFlipArt

The Vader Project

I just found this on the web, and then directly after saw it on Juxtapoz, and for all the Star Wars and art geeks out there this will be cool.

The Vader Project looks to be quite similar to modified dunny shows, in that a group of artists will modify a vader helmut how they see fit. The list of artists is great: Attaboy, Tim Biskup, Roman Dirge, Jeff Soto, Alex Pardee and so on. As it states on the site “After the premiere at Celebration IV the plan is for exhibition to travel to museums, galleries, and events around the world. The helmets will then be offered publicly at auction. Details will be announced later.”

So you might just get a chance to see it in person, or like me most likely just have to look at what will be on the webpage.

aotd: “Fishy”

Fishy_by_Beloved_Creature.jpg
Today’s image is from an artist that calls himself “Beloved-Creature”, I know nothing more than that.

Either way, its the image that matters and this one is quite cool looking. I love the brushwork that you can see on this one. It always amazes me how cool digital painting can be, I think it’s a skill that is great alongside traditional painting.
