“Element 5″, new series of works by David Ho

Digital artist David Ho (Interviewed), has added some new images to his website. His latest series of works is entitled “Element 5″ and focuses on the 5 elements: Earth, Fire, Metal, Water and Wood each one personified. David will also have some work in the upcoming group show “Curiouser and Curiouser: Inspired by ‘Alice In Wonderland” @ Gallery Nucleus this coming February 27th. I have always been a big fan of the imagery that David creates, and am happy to see his art getting into some galleries as well.

Take a look at the series, and then head on over to his site for more: David Ho Homepage

Downtime

Sorry for the downtime, I know there haven’t been as many posts lately as there usually is. I have been dealing with a handfull of trojans/virus, something that seems like a non-stop occurrence when it comes to Windows. So I finally just switched over to Mac. I am hoping this will allow to focus more on content, new projects I have in the works and of course studying.

“Wisdom of the Ancients” print by Jeff McMillan

“Wisdom of the Ancients”Jeff McMillan has a handful of prints available over at his Soceity6 profile. One of which is “Wisdom of the Ancients”, a tryptich painting that comes in three sizes at very affordable prices. Each print is on matte, 100% cotton rag paper using Epson K3 archival inks. The sizes are 23″ x 11″, 28″ x 13″, and 40″ x 17″. The largest of these prints is just under $50, this is a great price for such a killer print. Framing this print is not going to be simple, but the price you save on the print will help in the custom frame you will need.

Artist Profiles: Jurgen Grewe

An artist out of Berlin, Jurgen was trained at the Visual Arts at Fachhochschule Hannover and has had work in exhibitions in Germany, Russia and the United States. He works primarily in oils, and while he does create some single figure images, most of his work is this image collage layout. Figures that might be recognizable from movies such as Carrie, The Wolfman and even Hellboy, as well as figures that look plucked right out documentary photos or someones personal collection. Each one of the paintings forces you to question what the story is, what is going on in these images and how do the figure relate. I like the contrast that some of the paintings have with areas being highly rendered, while other areas look loosely sketched as seen in the third image.
