Paul is no doubt one of my favorite artists, so I always look forward to any new work that he has. He recently added some new images to his site, as well as updated his show list. This coming December 6th he will participate in the 3rd installment of the “”Don’t Wake Daddy” Group show at Gallery Feinkunst Kruger in Germany.
The piece featured here is entitled “Fiddle Fatale” and is 18″ x 24″. I really love the great amount of texture he is able to get and yet the paint and surface of the work is very flat. The one thing that always amazes me, is how perfect the lines he frames the work in are. I also dig the dual sets of eyes in this one, and the fact that not only is she framed with the striping but also the birds.

Love this piece! The double eyes are tricky as hell! Its like a hallucination trying to focus on it, which…is very cool, and I didn’t have to take any illegal substances…this time :)

yeh those eyes are messing with me. Its a killer painting, I love all the energy in it.
