It’s been far too long since I have posted anything from Gene Guynn, but he recently released a new painting so I had to share it. “Phosphors” is a new oil painting 24″ x 36″, that Gene will have on view at the Hibbleton Gallery this March 4th. The group show is entitled “F* IT!” and will also feature work by Jessica Ward, Celene, Apricot Mantle, and many more. I love the colors that Gene used in this new painting, and it looks as though he has changed up his “scar” elements a bit. Now the scars commonly found on the shoulders of his figures are spewing off a mix of colored smoke that really gives this piece a dynamic look.
