Opening up tonight, June 23rd at the Gallery 1988 in LA is a solo show featuring new work by Reuben Rude entitled: “Americana”. There is a large amount of work in the show, a few pieces that have been in previous shows, but works since it’s all so cohesive. I love the textures that he is able to get with the collaged areas. There are also a few reoccurring characters/poses, and some that haven’t been seen before (at least for me), such as the devil shown below.
