Here are a few shows that opened this weekend that you can now check out online.
Erik Otto’s solo show, opened up at the Shooting Gallery in Sf. I really dig this new batch of work that he is coming up with. Head on over and check it out: Erik Otto @ Shooting Gallery SF
“Strangely Mannered” opening on Friday at the Gallery 1988 in SF. The show features work by Travis Louie, Scott Scheidly, Joe Vaux & Brandt Peters. I was able to make it to the reception, it was a blast and was able to talk to Travis, Tanem Davidson (Newbrow Documentary) and Gene Guynn otherwise known as Rhino Barking Sparrow. Well worth the 2 hour bus ride!! Check out the work here: Strangely Mannered @ g1988sf and I also have some pics on Flickr here: “Strangely Mannered on Flickr
“4 on the Floor” opened this Saturday at “The Gallery” in Atlanta. The show features work by David MacDowell, Brandi Read, Emma Mount & Jessica Elaine Blinkhorn. There are some really amazing pieces in this show, and I know the prices are too good to be true for some of them. Head on over and take a look. 4 on the Floor Group Show
Also on Saturday, the new solo show of Shawn Barber opened up at the Billy Shire Fine Arts Gallery. The show is entitled “Tattooed Portraits: “Los Angeles”, and features some really killer works. There is a few watercolor works in the mix, and a massive painting of Kat Von D that is already sold. If you take a look, a few of the works are also available as prints.
