Glenn Arthur

Glenn Arthur is a self taught artist from Orange County, California who only recently started painting after years of using dry mediums. After experimenting with several products he finally found his niche using acrylic paints on wood. Centering on themes of love, death, and duality, Glenn tells stories of strength and hope through emotion with his sensual beauties and signature hummingbirds.

Glenn is currently working on a series of paintings titled “The Ghost and The Banshee”. This series touches on struggles of inner contradictions through the two characters from which the series is named after. The Ghost with her platinum hair and tear filled green eyes depicts an emotional state of being through certain situations in life, whereas The Banshee with her black hair and red eyes tends to convey the deviant vixen untouched by anything life can throw at her. The two characters together represent two halves of the same whole symbolizing the dueling personalities that are hidden within each of us.

I am a fan of this artist’s work and am particularly enamored of these two characters. Each painting touches me so deeply, it’s like he knows me somehow. But, more than anything, I *adore* the hummingbirds. Hummingbirds are sacred messengers, and to me, they seem to bless each of these works in the most significant of ways.

    In love,
