Well this last Saturday I went to San Francisco and checked out a few shows. It was great as I haven’t gone to a show in a while. The first one I saw was the very last day of the Eric Joyner show at the Shooting Gallery. Man this guy can paint. I love his work now. It always helps to see paintings in person, there is always so much that is lost when you see the work only in print or on the web.
The next show was Joshua Petker’s show at the Shooting Galleries new location, Gallery Three. His paintings are always so colorful. We talked a lot about art, art schools and so on. He has a show again in March at the Shooting Gallery.
The last show as the “Apres Garde” show at the Gallery 1988. All the work was great. I got to see some of my favorite artists work in person, Keith Weesner, Andrew Foster and Attaboy. I talked to Katie who worked there, and she even got surprised when she heard I was the Creep Machine guy. Feels great to know that people dig what I’m doing.
There are pics in the gallery area of these shows.
