For example, Travis Louie is not going to give a crap what I have to say about his latest work because I have no track record, no reputation, and no credentials. It doesn't matter. But Travis Louie will be interested to hear what Jonathan Levine has to say about his latest painting, because Jonathan has a track record and a solid reputation as the owner of a fine and well-respected gallery. While I'm always personally happy to shoot my mouth off about art, I know that my opinions are not going to be as respected (or as in-depth) as others who know the field better, and have been here longer. If you can round up respected artists, galleries, curators, and designers to critique new shows, I think you'll have a pretty solid feature for your site that people can understand, respect, and really get behind. Otherwise, get ready for a deluge of hate mail from people who just don't want to take the chance of someone publicly decrying their latest masterpiece.
