Glenn Barr’s new toy is being released along with a signing at the ROTOFUGI DESIGN TOY STORE AND GALLERY in Chicago, IL.
The toy, “Hell’s Proprietor” is made of wood and looks great. I saw this one in person at his signing at the Shooting Gallery in San Francisco.
Its a nice change from all the vinyl toys that are out there, and the price looks great. $18. cant beat that.

Ever since the new I am 8 Bit show started, I’ve really been into looking for cool video game inspired art. This could be since i’m getting older, and need to be reminded of my youth again. Or just because the art is amazing.
I found some really cool art, I tried to make sure that I found stuff that wasn’t in the new I am 8 Bit show, I might have though, since I haven’t really seen the new show.
“Nintendo” by Nurse-Stimpy
“Super Mario Bros” by Ted McClung
“Know your roots” by belldandies
“Bad Mushroom” by Brandon Reese
“Indifferent the Duck and the Sprite Sculptures” by Justin B. Evans :Senior thesis project. Huge!
And finally the 8BitArtist his whole gallery is inspired by video games.

Tank Girl will be coming back to comics again. IDW will be releasing a new version of Tank Girl.
It’s written by TG’s co-creator Alan Martin and drawn by the wonderful Ashley Wood.
Tank Girl has a new look, and I really like what Ashley Wood has done. Take a look at the orginal release on Ashley Wood’s blog Here.

There are two Chet Zar prints on auction right now. Both of these prints are the limited ones found on his website, that are now sold out. They are printed on “heavy stock, epson velvet art paper”. So instead of being 11″x14″, they are 13″x16″.
They both look great, and the price so far is very nice.

If you haven’t done so already, make sure you sign up for the mailing list over at Pressure Printing.
From time to time, you will get messages for sale, prints as well as originals. Its also just a good idea to see what will be coming in the future with the site.

I haven’t been over to GelaSkins in a while, since I don’t own an Ipod, but they do have some really cool artists over there that I like to check out. I often have to talk myself out of buying an ipod just so I can get one of these skins.
Looks like they have skins for a laptop now as well. It all looks like mac only skins, but im sure some other laptops might work as well. As long as they have perfectly flat lids, no embossed logos or such.
I wouldn’t mind getting one of those Ralph Steadman skins for my laptop, oh wait, I have to buy a laptop now.

I’ve never seen this artists work before, but it’s quite striking. I don’t think this image really shows how deep these acrylic paintings really are.
Have a look at his website as well, some great work on there. Go this his painting gallery (tableaux) and check out his first painting there, “Dieu, cheval de Troie”. The feel of the paint, colors and such are very cool. Nice and worn in.

I’m always looking up art anyway, so I decided to do a weekly art search. So once a week (most likely the end of the week) ill do a post that showcases some cool works that I have found.
“Bear Hugger” by Mathieu Beaulieu. This really should have been in the I am 8 Bit show.
“War and Peace” by Paul Gerrard. Now this is some great digital art.
“Mathilde” by Hoang Nguyen. I love the colors and texture on this one.
“Blue Demon” by Alberto Cerriteño. The colors are amazing. This whole gallery rocks.
“New Horizon” by Lars Raun. Love this picture, the vignetting really adds to the mood.
