Godmachine has just released a new limited edition screen-print to his online shop entitled “Spider Baby”. The print is 18″ x 24″, signed and numbered in an edition of 50 for just £20. If you take a look at the shop you will notice some original drawings have been up for sale, and sold out very quickly, but its worth it to keep your on the site. Also consider signing up for the Godmachine mailing list, along with news there is promotional sale codes given out once in a while.

Prints: “Sarah & Emmett” by Travis Louie from Pressure Printing

Pressure Printing has just released the first print for the new year. Sarah & Emmett by Travis Louie was first seen at his solo show @ Copro Nason entitled Strange Grooming Habits. Pressure Printing went all out for this print, and not only embossed and stained the paper, but also took into account how Travis’ work looks like under domed glass. So they used a $1000 domed brass plate to help add a bit of the feel from the original into this print (see the whole process). This 9.5″ x 13″ intaglio print is on handmade Twinrocker paper, antiqued with walnut ink and watercolors, embossed, and signed and numbered in an edition of 50. Each print also comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Virtu Art Gallery has just released a new limited edition print by Charlie Immer entitled Warrior. This is the 4th print by Virtu for Immer, and the most affordable one to date. The print is 18″ x 18″ with 16″ x 16″ image area, printed on Hahnemuhle Bamboo paper, embossed, and signed and numbered in an edition of 20 for $100 each.

Spoke Art has just released a new limited edition print by Casey Weldon. Entitled Jimi VS/ the MPC, this painting was first seen at the I Want My MTV Music Video show (previewed) that took place last year. This is such a killer painting, not only because it’s a great spoof on an iconic image of Jimi Hendrix, but long before I created this site I was completely immersed in electronic music and the gear associated with it. The MPC was the staple sequencer for many musicians, and the complaints I would often hear is how lifeless drum machine/sequencers are. So to have Jimi, a guitar player that was so intense of full of life, to be burning up this machine is a great addition for gear geeks like myself.
Anyway, the print is a generous 18″ x 24″, signed and numbered in an edition of 35. It also has hand deckled edges and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.

I have been meaning to post a print release from LifeVersa (Wale Bambose) for some time now, but every-time a new print is released it’s sold out before I get to it. The Conjurer: JL Schnabel’s Mystical Collaboration

Many of you know Ms. JL Schnabel for the writing she does for Hi Fructose Magazine. She has a great eye for art and writes beautifully. In her other life, which you may also be aware of, she creates fascinating jewelry in a line she calls Blood Milk, the elements of which are crystals, claws, feathers, bones, planchets and other mystical symbols and objects.

In alchemical fashion, this fall she teamed up with photographer Christina Brown and artist Paul Romano to create Blood Milk‘s first look book. The result, a collection of beautifully designed graphic work and photographs entitled The Conjurer is mysterious and filled with witchery.

Note that the text in the images below are a bit out of sequence from the narrative in the book. You can see the whole thing (and download it as a pdf) on the new Blood Milk website here. You can also purchase limited edition prints of some of the images and pieces from her jewelry line from the Bloodmilk Etsy shop. And don’t forget to read the wonderful interview about JL Schnabel’s creative spirit on Ghosts in the Garden.

I’m very excited to have recently purchased one of her Crystal Tomb necklaces! I am convinced that it will have mystical powers.

New Gremlins prints @ Mondotees

Saw this over at OMGposters.com and had to share. Mondotees will be releasing 4 new prints today, December 23rd, at a random time as always. The first three are by Ken Taylor, who did a Gremlins poster with two colorways, 24″ x 36″ limited to 370, variant limited to 115. Next Ken made this amazing screenprinted, jointed Gremlin spider, with 20 points of articulation. The spider is printed by Moon Editions, and is limited to 175. The final print is by Phantom City Creative, and is based on Gremlins 2. The print is also 24″ x 36″, signed and numbered in an edition of 320.
