This past Saturday at the Last Rites Gallery in New York, the Second “Flesh to Canvas” group show opened up. This years features work by Paul Acker, Alex Adams, Guy Aitchison, Nick Baxter, Aaron Bell, Paul Booth, Joe Capobianco, Joshua Carlton, Mike DeVries, Chris Dingwell, Little Dragon, Alex Garcia, Goethe, Gunnar, Anil Gupta, Ryan Hadley, Robert Hernandez, Phil Holt, Nikko Hurtado, Brian Murphy, Roman, Juan Salgado, Stefano, Toxyc, Kurt Wiscombe and Phil Young.
I was especially taken in with the paintings by Nick Baxter, Juan Salgado, and Nikko Hurtado’s amazing Medusa inspired piece.

Copro Nason Gallery will be opening three exhibits this Saturday, December 12. “IO Saturnalia” a group show featuring work by Yoko d’Holdbachie, Naoto Hattori, Rachel Bess, Mari Inukai, Mark Covell, Erik Alos, Alex Garcia, Michael Page, Leslie Ditto, XNO, Kieth Weesner and more. Then in gallery 2 will be “Gold Dust” by Tiffany Liu and gallery 3 will have “Reflections” with new works from Chris Peters. Coming this Friday, February 13th, Art Core presents “Forgotten Saints”. This new group show is filled with featuring “Saints” that were forgotten, and those that should be. The lineup is pretty impressive. There will be work by: Gris Grimly, Vince Locke, Cam Rackam, Arabella Proffer, Tony Koehl, Alex Garcia, Cate Rangel and many more.

There isn’t much work online yet, but I did find a couple of images from the show to share. One from Arabella Proffer and the other from Cate Rangel.
