7th Annual Blab Show & Ryan Heshka @ Copro Gallery

In anticipation of the upcoming BLABWORLD No. 2 and 3, Copro Gallery opened the 7th Annual “Blab Show” featuring work by many of the best artists working today, such as: Joe Sorren, Ana Bagayan, Shag, Marc Burckhardt, Chet Zar, Martin Wittfooth, R.S. Connett, Laurie Hogin, Sas Christian, Ryan Heshka, Gary Baseman, Owen Smith, Alex Kuno, and many more. Ryan Heshka was not only in the group show, but opened his latest solo exhibition “Strange Powers 2″ at the gallery as well. The great thing about this new show by Heshka, was that along with the paintings he also offered original drawings and sketches, that were used to prepare for the paintings. It was a great way to give the fans an insight into the working process, and show off Ryan’s drawing skills as well.

October Creep Machine sale!

I think this is the perfect month to have sale, and considering the art that is currently in the Creep Machine store, if fits perfect with being a Halloween sale.

The last pieces from the “Attack of the B Movie” art show are in the Creep store, and if you head on over you will see that I lowered the prices of each of them. So if there was a piece you were interested in, now would be a good time to go there and check em out. Of if you haven’t yet please take a look, there are some really great pieces of art in there. Here are just a few that are still in the store.

aotd: “Vengeful Dunces” by Alex Kuno

vengefuldunces_alexkuno.jpgWith the B Movie show approaching quickly, I thought I would use the Art of the Day section to start featuring art from the participating artists of the show. I’ve seen a majority of the art for the show, and I’m blown away. There is some really amazing work and it has all far exceeded my expectations for this show.

So today’s piece is from Alex Kuno, he submitted a really fun piece for the show. The one shown above is an earlier work. This piece is 8″x10″ and I believe is watercolor and maybe even some acrylic paint. I really love the way Alex paints faces, the style of drawing added with the colors he uses really creates this timeless illustrative quality to his work. The scenes are always twisted and surreal. I’m really happy to have him in this show.

If you would like to see a preview of the show, message me and I will send you a link I have created for pre-sale. Otherwise, make sure you head on over and check out the rest of Alex’s work.
