Coming this Saturday, March 21st 7pm to midnight at the Gnomon Gallery in Hollywood is “The Art of Sketch Theatre”. This is a group show featuring work by all of the talented artists that have been seen in the videos on the Sketch Theatre website. “Cornelius” open-edition print by Ana Bagayan

Ana Bagayan has just added another print to her online shop, this new print is an open-edition print. This new print is on Hahnemuhle Fine Art Paper just as her other prints, but the size is 5.5 x 5.5″ on 6 x 6″Paper. The print is signed with a small “a” in archival silver pen on the bottom right corner, just as it is in the original.

I like this new print, the solid black background really pushes the portrait right out there. Well worth the $30.

“Cindy” print by Ana Bagayan

Ana’s show at Billy Shire Fine Arts opens this Saturday, and I am not sure if there will be prints made from any of the works. However, if you head over to her homepage right now she does have a print available. The print is 10″ x 10″ on Hahnemuhle Fine Art Paper, signed and numbered in an edition of 50. Her Etsy site also has the same print for sale, as well as an original drawing, all framed up. So if you can grab anything from here show there is alternative ways to get her art.

aotd: “Waterbirth” by Ana Bagayan

Ana Bagayan has updated her website, flickr and blog. I was looking around and saw this image and just had to share it. The piece is entitled “Waterbirth” and as she says on her flickr account “Waterbirth is supposedly a gentle and less painful way to give birth.”

This painting trips me right out, I think thats what I like about it so much. It’s nice every now and then to get your brains shaken a bit.
