Tony Showcase has just released a book by Deth P. Sun. The book is entitled “I See It All”, it’s “a replica of a sketchbook Deth drew in the spring of 2008 and published in a limited first edition”. For only $30 you get:
* One copy from the first edition (limited pressing) of Deth P. Sun’s book: I See It All. A small sketch and a signature by the artist is on the first page of every copy.
* An archival limited edition print of a sketch drawn for Tiny Showcase, in a similar fashion to the sketches in the book.The print measures roughly 6″ wide by 7.5″ tall.
* One “I See It All” sticker 4.25″ square, drawn by Deth, and winner of the s. Finch “sticker of the year” award.
There are 100 of these sets, and are bound to go fast.

Here is the rundown of the shows opening up this weekend. Looks like its another one of those weeks that are filled with a huge amount of shows.
Friday:
Kathie Olivas and Brandt Peters have a duo show entitled “Nocturnal” opening at Cardboard Spaceship.

“Mostly Memory” featuring work by Armsrock and Elbow-Toe opens at Thinkspace. Also in the project room, Jon Todd’s show “Life Sentence” opens. Both shows are online to view.

“Globoid Fun” a solo show of KRK Ryden opens at the Rabbit Hole Gallery. Haven’t seen this site before so I’m not sure if the pieces will be online.

“Maritime and Mythology” by Evan B Harris and the “Gifted” group show both open at the Cersoli-Lebasse Gallery. “Gifted” features work by Tessar Lo, Eric Fortune, Scott Belcastro, Melissa Haslam, Ken Garduno, Nimit Malavia, Tom Haubrick, Jeremiah Ketner and more. So much of the work in this is striking, that Eric Fortune “A Wish for the Mourning” is beautiful.

Saturday:
“Little Wonders”, a group show featuring works by Deli, Reuben Rude, Grant Gilliland and more will open at Fabric8 in San Francisco. None of the works will be over $100.

The “Good Samaritan’s” group show kicks off at 8pm at Copro Nason Gallery. The show features work by Brian Viveros, Naoto Hattori, Femke Hiemstra, Bethany Marchman, Mari Inukai, Tin, Chet Zar, Brandi Milne, Chris Peters, Kukula, Vinnie Cacciotti, Jasimine Worth and the Dr. Charles Manson..?

Joshua Clay has a solo show called “Midnight Parade” at the Distinction Gallery in Escondido. The work is up for viewing and it all looks amazing. There are also two prints available, “Love and Lust” and “Fresh Beats”. Both prints are limited to 50, signed and numbered.

At the Copro Nason Gallery in Santa Monica three artists will have work shown, Naoto Hattori, Keith Weesner & Christopher Polentz. All the pieces are up for preview and it looks like Naoto’s show is almost sold out. Check out the show here.
Opening the 7th at La Luz De Jesus gallery will be “Everything But The Kitschen Sync”, a no themed huge group show. There is a lot of work to be seen here, most notably is some pieces by Stephen Blickenstaff. He was one of the first artists that I really got into, I have yet to see his work in person. Finally the “Balls” Out” group show opens the 7th at the Grass Hut Gallery in Portland. The show features work by Bwana Spoons, Jeff Soto, James Jean, Reuben Rude, Deth P Sun, Ryan Bubnis, Chris Ryniak, Amanda Visell, Scott Saw and many others.
