Dienzo launches new online store

Rick ‘Dienzo’ Blanco has just launched a new online store, and this store is stocked. Over 100 prints, shirts, and stretched canvas prints are available. Art that Dienzo created with Eric Pigors, zombies, monstes, vampires, and even the “Intergalactic Showdown” that was seen in the Attack of the B Movie Show can be found in this new shop. Also just for the fans here on Creep Machine, Dienzo has given a code ‘CREEPMACHINE” to be used during checkout, and you get 10% off your purchase. Head on over to the shop and have a look.

Halloween 2010 Feature

Halloween is upon us again, one of my favorite times of the year. Not only is it filled with great memories of being a kid, eating too much candy and watching horror movies late into the night, but this season is when some of the creepiest art is made. This is the second year I have posted a Halloween feature, and hopefully this one is even better. Head on over to the feature page and see work by: Chris Murray, Charlie Immer, Apricot Mantle, Scott Move, Naoto Hattori, Jessica Ward, Dean McDowell, Esao Andrews, Brian Smith, Dennis Brown, Dan Harding, Ryan Heshka, Celene Petrulak, Adrian Borda, Ego, Buddy Nestor, Edward Frausto, Laurie Lipton, Dave MacDowell, Jehan Choo, Natalie Shau, Joshua Carlton, Dan Hipp, Dienzo, Sarah Joncas, Chet Zar, Chris Brodahl, JR Williams, Tom Haubrick, Nicole Absher, Larkin, and Nouar.

If there is any art you find creepy, that hasn’t been added to this gallery, add the link to the art in the comments.

“Kill Your Idols” group show @ Hyaena Gallery

First mentioned here, the Hyaena Gallery in Burbank has a new group show that will be opening December 19th entitled “Kill Your Idols”. The show is centered around artists pushing past those, that inspired them to create art in the first place. I think it’s a great idea, while it is a good idea to have some strong influences being able to move away from them and carve a niche for yourself is the ultimate goal. The list of artists features work by Dan Harding, Peter Adamyan, Tatomir, Chris “The Creep” Densmore, Spinestealer, Rick “Dienzo” Blanco and more. The show is online to view as of the 15th. The standout pieces for me are the ones by Dan Harding, Dienzo and Peter Adamyan (all shown).

It’s an amazing show, make sure you head over to the site and check out all the work:

“Michael Thrilling” original by Dienzo

I know there has been an insane amount of media about Michael Jackson, but this one I figured would be welcome. The artist known as Dienzo has put up a painting for sale entitled “Michael Thrilling”. The painting is acrylic on canvas board, 11″ x 14″ and framed. It was originally made for an “80′s themed show earlier this year at The Phantom Gallery in Orange”. It’s a great looking painting, and perfect for all of those that were inspired by one of the coolest videos of the 80′s

Monster mini paintings by Dienzo for sale

george_dienzo.jpgL.A. based artist Dienzo has been working on a new series of paintings called “Monster Mini’s”. Each one of these little paintings are 6″ x 6″, acrylic on canvas.

So far he has done: “Wolfgang”, “Julian”, “Dolores”, “Mumford” & “George” (shown), and you can see that these six are based on the classic horror monsters that have inspired so many people. I think these little paintings are amazing, they have a great feel to them and Dienzo’s style of painting is really catchy. They’re also pretty affordable so don’t hesitate.

Dienzo also has a killer painting that will be in the B Movie show, it’s huge and really exciting. So if you cant make it to reception this coming Friday the 18th, you can see the work online this Monday.

One of the artists that will be showing work in the “Attack of the B Movie Art Show” is Dienzo. He’s an amazing artist and I’m excited to have him on board.

He currently has prints available on his site, but he has also just released some open-edition prints. So if you’re looking for some art, but wouldn’t mind it being way more affordable, head on over to to his ebay site. He has a huge amount of prints available. The one shown above is “Leonard Searching”, I love the expression in this one. The print is 10″ x 12.5″ with a 2″ border.
