Flatcolor Gallery has a bunch of original works by Parskid now available on the site. It looks as though many of the works are from some of his latest shows. There is over 30 original works available, one of which entitled “Separation Anxiety” is a collaboration with EGO. It looks amazing, the two styles work very well with each other.
Head on over and see all the works up on the site, many of them are pretty affordable.

Opening tonight, March 4th at the Flatcolor Gallery is a group show featuring new works from Dave MacDowell, Augie Pagan and in the loft “Sidekicks & Henchmen.” The loft show will feature comic book styled works from artists such as: EGO, Jesse LeDoux, Parskid, Ryan de la Hoz, Joe McSween and more. I am always happy to see new works from Dave MacDowell, he just has the ability to make strikingly colorful work that never fails to surprise. His painting “Lord Of The Onion Rings” (shown first) is definitely one of my favorites of the show. Head on over to the site and check out the full show, and if you are in the area make sure you stop by.

Halogen Gallery (formerly known as Suite 100) will be closing it’s doors for foreseeable future. “Astatine”, named after the “last of the halogens on the periodic table”, will be the final group show the gallery puts on. There are works available from Aaron Kraten, Amy Earles, Chris Sheridan, EGO, Jeremiah Ketner, Lesley Reppeteaux, Max Kauffman, Parskid, Weirdo and many more. Opening this Thursday, October 1st at the Flatcolor Gallery in Seattle is “Light in the Darkness”; a solo exhibition of new works from the multi-talented artist known as EGO. For the past few months EGO has been creating work for a variety of shows and events, such as “LET THERE BE ART!” .. a project to give a collective voice to the Seattle artists whose talent is all too often unseen and unheard.” presented by City Hostel Seattle. I am very excited to see the new works he has created for this show, but in the meantime I was able to send over a handful of interview questions and even some teaser images.

For the long time readers of this site, EGO is an artist you will be quite familiar with. I think its a great pairing, both artist compliment each other well.

Seattle based artist EGO was one of the featured artists here on the Creep Machine, and also had painting on show for the “Attack of the B Movie Show” and the current “This is the End” show. Not only is he an amazing tattoo artist, but also a skilled painter with a very unique style and imagination. I am always happy to see new work from him, and very privileged to have his art in any show that I am able to curate.
The piece shown here is the painting that EGO submitted to the “This is the End” group show. It looks so amazing in person, I wish the pictures were good enough to show how dynamic it really is. Surprisingly the piece is still available, but I have a feeling that his work will get harder to come by with every passing show.
