New work by Iain Macarthur

Iain Macarthur (featured) was recently commissioned to do a giant wall mural for Be Street that looks spectacular. With his unique drawing style, he was to create a winter landscape complete with yeti. The full artwork is over at Iain’s blog (here), and there is even some more shots of what the mural looks like in the store. Iain has been pretty busy since the last time we checked on him, his Soceity6 is filled with quite a large amount of prints now.

Check out Iain’s blog and various profiles to keep up on all new work.

Iain Macarthur “Wildlife” @ Phone Booth Gallery

The Phone Booth gallery not only redesigned their website, which looks great by the way, but also opened a new solo show from artist Iain Macarthur (featured). This new show is entitled “Wildlife” and features 12 new ink and graphite works on paper. The style is a lot tighter than the previous works Iain has released, but still holds the same design quality he is known for. Each head is filled with a variety of patterns, and beautiful line-work. There is also a new print available in the shop from this new show, “Peacock” (shown last) which is a 24″ x 18″ 1 color screen-print for only $20.

“Rawr!” print by Iain Macarthur

Previously featured artist here in the Creep Machine, Iain Macarthur has a new print being released by Danger Press. “Rawr!” is a 23″ x 35″ single color screen-print on 100# cover stock, signed and numbered in an edition of 90 for $40 each. This is an amazing looking print, I think Iain’s style translates flawlessly to prints such as these.

The featured artists for May are now up. Jason Hernandez and Jon MacNair. Both of these artists are quite amazing, and fit together very well. Head on over to the featured area and have a look. I would also like to thank last months featured artists, Iain MacArthur and Max Kaurffman. They are not in the archives and can also be found in the “Featured Artists” area.
