Joshua Clay has said he was always anti-digital, and has stuck to using traditional mediums for his work. He recently entered a contest to make a propaganda poster for the new Starcraft 2 game, and turned his pencil sketch into a digital piece. If this truly is his first digital work, I can’t wait to see what it will look like when he really gets into the medium. To see the full digitally colored poster, and to even vote for the piece and show Joshua how much his work rules, head on over to his site.

Opening this Saturday Night, January 9th at the Last Rites Gallery in New York is the second installment of the Dark Pop group show. The shows will feature artists that don’t necessarily always create dark art but will do so for this show. Some of the artists are mainly “dark” in all of their works, so it should be a good mix of ideas. The artists that will be participating are: Esao Andrews, John Cebollero (Interviewed), Joshua Clay, Molly Crabapple, Amy Crehore, Yoko d’Holbachie, Leslie Ditto, Eric Fortune, GAIA, Stella Im Hultberg, Sarah Joncas (Interviewed), Danni Shinya Luo, David MacDowell, Mike Maxwell, Tara McPherson, Michael Page, Leslie Reppeteaux, Mijn Schatje and more.
Take a look at the preview pics and then make sure you keep on eye on the site for the full show.

Not only has Joshua Clay updated the look or his website, but he also added three new limited edition prints as well, “Tereis the Piercer”, “Masami the Beautiful Delight” & “Hisepga Chief of the Bears”. The new website looks great, it’s easy to move around in and the thumbnails in the gallery are excellent. As for the prints, each one is 9″ x 21″ with a 1″ bleed, signed and numbered in editions of 90 for only $50 each. If you are looking to get all three, you can get $25 off.

This Summer is a coming out to be a great time to score some artwork. Joshua Taylor is having a “Super Summer Pen and Ink Sale”, so it’s a good opportunity to snag some original work from this very killer artist.

He will be selling a huge amount of pen and ink drawings, all of which seem to be on 5″ x 7″ watercolor paper. Each piece is only $50, so for a very affordable price you can have an original Joshua Taylor work, and frame it to add some life to walls of your home.

Head on over to the page he created to show off this work, and keep and eye on it as he will be releasing more work in the coming weeks,
