It was almost a year ago in June that I featured a painting by Marci Washington. I really dig her style and was happy to see that she has a new print with Tony Showcase. The print is 4.25″ x 6.5″ (plus border for framing), for $20. Marci has decided to have a portion of her addition sales go to Half the Sky Foundation.
Most of the prints on Tiny Showcase tend to sell out very fast, so if your a fan of Marci’s work, or are just now being introduced to her work, head on over and take a look.

Today’s “Art of the Day” comes from Bay Area artist, Marci Washington. Marci recently received an MFA at the California College of Arts, a college I was planning on going to a while back.

All of her work seems to be in watercolor and gouache, I respect the fact that she is able to control gouache. Her work is so clean it actually looks like they are block prints. A few of her works have this really intricate patterns in the background, all hand painted. Now thats dedication.

For more of her work, head on over to her homepage here: MarciWashington.com
