I featured some new originals by Molly back in February, but I just learned that she created a new blog so the originals can be found there now. On this new blog, she posted some new smaller works (shown) that she has been working on, and even added some process shots so we can see how these get made. I really love the dreamy quality that she gets with watercolor, and the colors are so rich. “Delusion” is on the left and “Phantom” the right. Each one of these smaller works is 4″ x 6″(5″ x 7″ with border).
She also posted a teaser of a new one that she is working on, and it looks to be a full figure. I can’t wait to see the finished version.
Head on over to Molly’s new blog, see what she has in store and which originals are still available.

I wrote a bit back about some original paintings available from Molly Brill, and it looks like she has just added some new ones. All of her works are mixed media and watercolor on watercolor block paper. I really love the energy, colors and layout of some of these new ones. I really love how the eyes are beautifully rendered and the surrounded area is paint chaos!
Head on over and see the full list of affordable works she has for sale.

A bit back I featured the work of Molly Brill. She makes these amazing paintings using watercolors, acrylics, watercolor pencils and charcoal. Each piece is filled with texture and color, always giving your eye something interesting to look at.
She recently moved and is now living in Ontario, Canada. She started a livejournal and Flickr account, to help people keep track of new works, shows and hopefully some prints. She also have about seven original works for sale, each one of them is $200 (plus s&h). Here is just a few from the list for sale, they are amazing. I would love to see them in an ornate frame. Head on over and take a look at all the pieces she is selling. Molly Brill Original Paintings

Today’s piece is from Molly Brill aka Mocabri. She has a killer style, each piece is literally stuffed with texture. I love the look of watercolor that has been used in this way, I’m sure many of you have heard me say this a hundred times.
This specific piece was made using watercolor, watercolor pencils, acrylics and charcoal. The colors are pleasing and I love the contrast of the well rendered face, contrasted with that explosion of color and texture that surrounds it. Molly has been doing this for a bit, but is still really just getting started. I know a good amount of artists, including myself that would have loved to have such a hold on their style at such a young age. I’m really excited to see how she grows in the coming years. Expect to see amazing work from her.
She now has a carbonmade profile so you can see all of her current work, and keep up with new work. Check it out here
