Opening Tomorrow, April 9th at 7pm at the Rothick Art Haus in Anaheim, CA is a group show with artists using the Matryoshka (babushka doll) as a canvas to paint on. Over 50 artists contributed their take on this Russian nesting doll such as: Mathew Bone, Paul Chatem, Casey Weldon, Glenn Arthur, Rudy Fig, Joe Scarano, N.C. Winters, Jennybird Alcantara, Joka, Jason Levesque, Jessica Ward, Cory Benhatzel, Jeff McMillan, Justin Lavato, Scott Holloway, Delphia Nikolaus, Lara Slater, William Zdan, and many more. Cave Gallery is having a group show with work from Anthony Clarkson, Ciou, Emma Overman, Macsorro and Rudy Fig
La Luz de Jesus will open “And We All Go”, the latest solo exhibition from Mark Bodnar. There is also a studio sale with work from Christopher Ulrich. The drawings for the Pan’s Labyrinth concept art are amazing, and all gone.
Thinkspace Gallery is opening three shows, “My Heart Never Sleeps” by Timothy Karpinksi, “Shining Darkness” by Turf One and “Sight for Sore Eyes” from Craig ‘Skibs’ Barker
Rivet Art will open a duo show with new works from Ragnar and Charlie Owens
Gallery Nucleus will open the “Quinquennium Exhibitum”, the galleries 5 year anniversary show. There will be work from Amanda Visell, Andrew Foster, Edwin Ushiro, Francis Vallejo, Jason Limón, Juno Mizuno, Nate Wragg and many more.

Cerasoli Gallery is opening up three mini shows with work from John Grande, Franziska Klotz & Nick Potter.
Joshua Liner Gallery will open “Love Monster” with new art from Aiko.
Kinsey/Desforges will be hosting “Chasing Castles” featuring new works from Chloe Early and Connor Harrington
Finally the Hyaena Gallery will be co-hosting the Gruesome Art Ghoullery at the Fangoria Weekend of Horrors this April 17-19th. Besides all sorts of killer horror related goodies, the gallery will be featuring works from Clive Barker, Vince Locke, Gris Grimly, Dan Harding, Cam Rackam, Chuck Hodi, Rick “Dienzo” Blanco, Erick De La Vega, Alex Pardee and more. Gris Grimly willalso be releasing a limited edition print called “Zombie Affection” (shown). The print will be signed and numbered in an edition of 30. If they don’t all sell out at the event, they will show up on the artists site.

Rotofugi will be opening “Strange Happenings”, a group show featuring new work from Kelly Vivanco, Juri Ueda and Rudy Fig. The work looks amazing, Kelly Vivanco continues to impress me.
The Corey Helford Gallery will be opening “From Light Cometh Darkness” the latest solo show from Luke Chueh. “Dirty Pretty Things” by Thoman Han will be in the loft area.
Fabric8 will host “Back in the Day”, a group show about “reminiscing on their days of old” featuring Reuben Rude, Grant Gilliland, Ursula Young, Peabe and many more.
Lebasse Projects will have “Vous Avez Ete Juste Serve”, a group show featuring new work from Tessar Lo, Yoskay Yamamoto, Nate Frizzell, Edwin Ushiro, Melissa Haslam, Ryuichi Ogino, Jason Redwood, Brian Donnelly, Eric Fortune, Amanda Visell, Scott Belcastro, Jack Long and more. I’m really looking forward to seeing what this show has to offer, so many great artists.
The Gnomon Gallery as featured a bit back, will have “The Art of Sketch Theatre”. This show is going to be killer, raw sketches from Michael Hussar, Travis Louie, Gene Guynn, Nikko Hurtado, Shawn Barber, Greg “Craola” Simkins, Chet Zar, Mari Inukai and many more will be there to gawk at. Schmancy Toys/Gallery ha s anew solo show from Parskid. The reception is from 6-9pm, and the artists will be in attendance. The work is online and not only is it affordable, but looks excellent.
Eclectix Gallery will host “Eat It”, a group show featuring work by R.S. Connett, Andy B Clarkson, Rudy Fig and many more. There is also works by Mary Patterson on show.
Halogen Gallery formerly known as the Suite 100 Gallery, has a group show with work from Dave Crosland, Phoneticontrol, Matt Linares, Ryan De La Hoz and more.
Thinkspace Gallery has two solo shows opening, “Untitled (New Works)” from Matthew Feyld and “The Sins Of Atticus Finch” from Dave MacDowell.
Roq La Rue Gallery is opening “Neo Grotesque” by Christian van Minnen and new works by Yoko d’Holbachie. The reception is from 6-9pm, and the show runs until April 4th.
Black Maria Gallery will host Ken Garduno’s latest solo show “Channels”. All of the work looks amazing, I love how is he putting small amount of color in each one. A large majority of the work is already sold. The reception is from 7-10:30pm
Distinction Art Gallery is opening “He Said, She Said”, a group show featuring works by Lyle Motley, Ahren Hertel and Ken Keirns. There will also be various work on display throughout the galleries. Ahren has gone a new direction with these new works, I like them a lot and can’t wait to see more of these.
Billy Shire Fine Arts is opening “Orphan”, new works from Ana Bagayan. The new paintings look amazing, and if you look around a bit you will be able to find videos of Ana painting these works.
Artist Rudy Fig has created 15 hand painted, signed and numbered space cadets. Each Cadet is meticulously cut from moisture resistant board and sealed in matte varnish. Cadets will be delivered ready to hang, in a protective storage pouch with certificate of authenticity. They are about 10″. This is a first come first serve basis.
