Justin Kamerer (AngryBlue) has just released a new letterpress print. “Mandrake” is 11″ x 14″, signed and numbered with 2 impressions, a color and blind emboss. The print is limited to an edition of 90 for $45 each.

Opening this Saturday, October 3rd at the Corey Helford Gallery will be a duo show featuring new works from Van Arno and Melissa Forman. This is Van Arno’s second solo show at the gallery and is entitled “A Change of Skin”, and marks a new direction for the artist “as Arno introduces multiple characters and a looser, more gestural format to his work. The exhibition will also feature 100 limited-edition silk screen show prints that will be available only at the gallery.” Then we have Melissa Forman’s second showing at the gallery as well with “Garden of Shadowsâ€.
Both artists are extremely talented, and being able to see both of their shows in the same gallery is a must for those that are close.

Jonathan Viner has added a new print to his online shop. “Universal Remote” is 15.5″ x 20.5″ on a 17″ x 22″ piece of Hahnemuhle Photo Rag. The print is signed and numbered in an edition of 50. Each print is also covered with three coats of varnish “increasing its durability as well as the intensity and depth of colors.”

Opening this Thursday, October 1st at the Flatcolor Gallery in Seattle is “Light in the Darkness”; a solo exhibition of new works from the multi-talented artist known as EGO. For the past few months EGO has been creating work for a variety of shows and events, such as “LET THERE BE ART!†.. a project to give a collective voice to the Seattle artists whose talent is all too often unseen and unheard.” presented by City Hostel Seattle. I am very excited to see the new works he has created for this show, but in the meantime I was able to send over a handful of interview questions and even some teaser images.

Alamo Drafthouse has just added a new print by Ken Taylor. This print is based on “Clash of the Titans”. There are to versions of the print, each one being 24″ x 36″. The standard green and red version is limited to 110 and is $30, while the blue and purple is limited to only 40 for $55. The eyes on the blue/purple version are printed in glow in the dark ink.
This is an amazing looking print, and seems to have come at the perfect time. I just watched Clash of the Titans this past week, it has been years since I have seen it but still holds up. This print is a perfect homage to a classic movie.

About 2 years ago, the very first Brush Project was started. The idea was that artists would send in used brushes, sign them and then the fans could score a great collectible while helping out a charity. It’s now time for Bush Project 2, this time hosted by Rotofugi, the charity is Gigi’s Playhouse, a Down syndrome awareness center. The auction is now in full swing, and will go until this Thursday, October 6th. The brushes will be on display until October 11th and then shipped to the new owner.

Andy Kehoe has added some new prints to his Etsy shop. This time the prints are quite larger than he usually sells, each one is 22″ x 22″. Entitled “Old Enemies Reconcile Unseen†and “Beacons for Wayward Soulsâ€, each print is limited to an edition of 50 for $135 a pop.

Mike Bell is an artist currently working out of New Jersey. His work is inspired by pop culture, pin-ups, sci-fi, advertising art, typography and classic monsters. He has already shown in a variety of galleries such as: DVA Gallery in Chicago, Toyroom in Sacramento, CA, The Shooting Gallery in San Francisco, Bluebottle Gallery in Seattle and many more.
Mike’s artwork is simply a blast to look at. Not only is it colorful, the brushstrokes amazing, but the content is what will really draw you in. Especially if you are a classic monster fan like myself. He also has art dedicated to robots, tiki, cartoon characters and girls, so there is surely something for everyone.
