  • Our New Sponsor: C.A.V.E Gallery

Allow me to introduce the newest sponsor to the site, C.A.V.E. Gallery. “The Center for Audio and Visual Expression, known as C.A.V.E., was first conceived in 2001 as a series of art events showcasing visual art, film and performance art. In June 2008, C.A.V.E. was resurrected finding a gallery home
on Rose Avenue, an eclectic pedestrian corridor in Venice Beach, California.”

There are some amazing shows at the gallery, such as the current group show “Brush Fire” as well as The Artwork Celebration this coming Sunday May 17th. You can see work by Cate Rangel, Gene Guynn, Chet Zar, Amy Botello, Tatiana Suarez, Rudy Fig and many more.

The sponsors really help keep this site going, and allow us to bring work on some really exciting projects for the next year.

  • “Apparition” print by Melissa Haslam

A Paper Tiger has just added a new print from Melissa Halsam. This Australian artist has really been putting out some amazing work this past year. She has a great style, and all of her work has this magical quality to it, much like it glows. This new print is 12″x15.5″ signed and numbered on textured archival paper, in an edition of 25 for $100.

Head on over and check it out. Melissa Haslam @ A Paper Tiger

  • Art of the Day: “Dead Vixen” by Jonathan Bergeron

Jonathan Bergeron, also known as Johnny Crap, just added this original work of art to the Gigposters classifieds section. I’m a sucker for beautifully rendered inkwork, and this is a great example of how skilled Jonathan is. It simply looks amazing, the hair and various skulls can keep your eyes busy for ages. The work is ink on bristol and is 9″ x 12″. It can be had for $120.

  • “After the Dinner Party” by Marci Washington

It was almost a year ago in June that I featured a painting by Marci Washington. I really dig her style and was happy to see that she has a new print with Tony Showcase. The print is 4.25″ x 6.5″ (plus border for framing), for $20. Marci has decided to have a portion of her addition sales go to Half the Sky Foundation.
Most of the prints on Tiny Showcase tend to sell out very fast, so if your a fan of Marci’s work, or are just now being introduced to her work, head on over and take a look.

  • Death Cab for Cutie gig poster by Brian Ewing

Just learned that the Death Cab for Cutie poster is now in stock at Brian Ewings store. He opened the box, and said they looked amazing. There is also a walkthrough of the process that it took to make the print. I’m not the biggest fan of the band, but the print does look killer. The colors are very striking. The print is 18″ x 24″, 7 color screen print for $40.
