  • “Good Samaritan” framed canvas print by Naoto Hattori

Coming this Saturday at the Copro Nason Gallery, the “Good Samaritan’s” group show opens up. Naoto has a painting in the show and has just released a print based on it. So you get a jump on the print before the show even opens.

This is one of the most exciting prints I have seen him release so far. The print is a frames canvas giclee, 8″ x 8″ (12.5″ x 12.5″ framed. It’s signed and numbered in an edition of 25 and is $350. That’s a pretty small edition for such a killer print, so I don’t think this one will last long. Also if your interested, you can contact the gallery about the original here: Copro Nason Gallery.

  • Alex Pardee’s “Bunnywith” now a daily webcomic

One of Alex’s most memorable creations has to be “Bunnywith”. There have been comics, plush toys, and vinyl toys. Alex stated that “”Bunnywith”, and his adorable smile, allows me to be the asshole I wish I was 98% of my life.” So for those out there that love Alex’s work, as well as this character, we now get even more. The new incarnation of “Bunnywith” is a daily updated web-comic, well almost daily.

One of the things about looking for new art by your favorite artists, is that it takes time to create. So with web-comics you get something new everyday. Something that can make you laugh, think or just give your day a pick-up. I have a list of web-comics that I read everyday and am very happy to add this one to the line-up.

  • “Blue Rose” print by Sylvia Ji

Sylvia Ji has just released a new print over at the Artprint.net. This new print is entitled “Blue Rose” and is 14″ x 14″ on watercolor paper. It is signed and numbered in an edition of 100. I am a big fan of all the work that she has done, but the last few such as “La Catrina”, “Rosa” and this new one are really amazing. The colors are great, that blue along with subtle rose, green and almost gold colors are very striking.

  • “Clown of Doom” print by Chet Zar

One of my favorite paintings of the “Clowns” show that just happened at he Corey Holford Gallery was by Chet Zar. Of course it helps that I am a huge fan of his work, but I think it was the whole presentation that caught me. They style of the clown, the colors he used as well as that amazing frame.

I was hoping he would release a print of this piece, and if you head on over to his shop you will see that he did. The print is without frame of course, and I would try to find one as close to the original as possible. This print is a “Special Collectors Edition”. It’s 17″ x 22″ on fine velvet art paper, signed and numbered in an edition of 100. There is also two other new prints, a smallr version of “I Want You”, and a Special Collectors Edition of “Mourner”.

  • Featured artists for December : Leslie Ditto & Charles Wish

We took a break this last month with the featured artists area, but are now back again. This month features work by two amazing surrealist painters, Leslie Ditto and Charles Wish. Both of their galleries are amazing, I am very happy to have the both of them here.

Also, I would like to thank October’s featured artists, Michael Ryan and Dan Harding. If you missed their feature you can check it out in the “Featured Artists” area, so while you head over to check out this months art you can also look at some of the past features.

  • New work and prints by Jeremy Brotherton

If you have been reading the site for a while, you might remember the work of one of last January’s featured artist, Jeremy Brotherton. If you haven’t had the pleasure of seeing his photography yet, head on over to the “Featured Artists” are and take a look. He has a great style, very ghostly and enigmatic.

He has been working on a new series, dealing with the feelings of anxiety (shown, top two). Along with these new works he has also opened up a shop to sell prints of many of the images he has created, such as “Yesterday” (last shown), one my favorites from his older works. The prints are very affordable, and you have a choice of sizes for each image.

  • “The Cost of Modern Living” print by Andy Kehoe

Andy Kehoe has just released a new print onto his Etsy shop. The print is 12″ x 16″, signed and numbered in an edition of 40. It’s also on my favorite paper, Hahnemuhle Photo Rag 308gsm paper. I remember seeing this painting a bit back and loving that blue against the ochre like colors that he used throughout the piece. It’s very striking, quite possibly my favorite work from him so far.

If you look around the shop you will also see a new print available from Ben Kehoe, “Loner Days”. It’s also 12″ x16″, signed and numbered in an edition of 40. Check em out here:
