Phone Booth Gallery has just released a new print by the artist known as Handiedan. The print, “Translucent Skin No. 1″, is 24″ x 18”, 12 color screenprint in Cougar Smooth Cover paper, signed and numbered in edition of 100. Each print is also hand embellished by the artist.

Zach Johnsen, otherwise known as Zenvironments, has added a new print to his online shop. “Hoola Nun” is 18″ x 24″ on heavyweight hahnemuhle art paper, signed and numbered in an edition of 30. The image is from his “Dancing Nuns” series, and is 3/4 the size of the original. I guess if you buy any two print from his shop you get a mystery third print. He has quite a lot of prints available, so even if you don’t fancy this one take a look at what else he has to offer.

Mondays are usually pretty slow as far as news go, so I thought I would start a new section. “Etsy Finds” will feature a work of art that was found while perusing Etsy. There is a lot of great work to be found on that site, and some well known artists even sell their art there. This weeks find is by ‘Miss Hotten” and is a hand-drawn 2-layer lithograph, printed on tan Rives BFK printmaking paper. The image size is 6″ x 6″ and the paper is 8″ x 9″, each print is also signed and numbered in an edition of 28 for $30 each. If you look at the prints in the shop, you can see that the edges of the paper are all deckled. Its a great looking image, haunting and minimal in its design which helps add to the classy feel.

French artist Ava Creat has added a new print to her Etsy shop. “Portrait Bleu Rose” is a 11.69″ x 11.69″ print, signed and numbered in an edition of 60 for $38 each. Her works have this loose brushy style, that really fits with the figures she draws. This print in particular has some good colors to it, that blue really helps to make this image stand out.

Alberto Cerriteño has just added a new print to his etsy shop. “Sora the Winter Angel” is a 13″ x 19″ print on 100% cotton rag paper, signed by hand and limited to an edition of 20. Each print is mailed flat with a print protector bag.

Scott Saw has just put up some original paintings up for sale. There is a good amount of recent work, and even some that goes back to 2003. I particularly liked the portrait of Erika, shown first. He doesn’t often do portrait work such as this, but I think his style works well for it. The colors are nice and intense and the splatter/spray technique he has gives the work a good texture.

After seeing the latest painting Travis has in the Lush Life 2 Exhibition, I went looking for some prints and other collectibles of his. While I am really hoping this new painting of his makes it way into print form, he has a dozen available prints over at Circus Posterus right now such as “Oliver Smiley” (first). Serge Birault, an illustrator out of France has some prints of his work over at Inprint. He is very inspired by Gil Elvgren and Sorayama, and shows just how amazing digital art can be in the right hands. He has quite a few prints available on the site, all of which are open edition and comes in a couple of sizes. The prints are on 100% cotton rag paper, with archival inks and a 1″ border.
