Back in October I featured the art of Byran Pickens (here), and have been watching his site ever since. He recently added two new paintings, and even some process shots for one of the paintings “CMYK” (shown first), the second one is “Untitled”. I love the textures and the feel that Bryan is able to achieve with his work, and the clean, sharp, illustrative style the figures still hold. It’s a very dynamic combination. Make sure you check out Bryan’s homepage, and the blog area for more process shots, to see how the artists works and any upcoming news or prints.

The art of Bryan Pickens
I get a good amount of e-mails daily about artists I may have not seen, and while I would love to show them all, not all of them are ready. Brayn Pickens was one of the artists I was recently introduced to that has a great style going and really needs to be seen more and more. Most of his work is acrylic on wood panel, and often is a blend of flat geometric patterns with some textural work in the background. Bryan also has a shop with a couple of giclee prints available. I look forward to seeing some new works from Bryan, and if you like his paintings as well head over to his site and bookmark it.
