This Saturday night, June 11th at the Corey Helford Gallery, a duo show opens with the main solo show featuring new works from Nouar and a small show from Joshua Petker entitled “Celluloid Constellations”. Tara McPherson’s new art boutique the “Cotton Candy Machine” is now online. What you will find there is prints, shirts, posters, books, stickers, skins for you phone or laptop, and even pillows. Another great feature of this new boutique is art shows, the first of which is entitled “Tiny Trifecta” and opens this coming April 9th. The show will feature smaller art all priced at $100, so first come first served. There will be no presale so you need to be at this show in person. Art from Esao Andrews, Audrey Kawasaki, Arabella Proffer (shown), Scott C, Sas Christian, Shawn Barber (shown), Natalia Fabia, Lola, Travis Louie, Joshua Petker (shown), and many more will be showing miniature works at the show. “Head Wound” print by Joshua Petker @ Poster Child Prints
Poster Child Prints in Los Angeles, has just released a new print from Joshua Petker. You might remember the “Sugarwater” print they released a while back from Petker, and now they have chosen one of the paintings he has done in a series of “Head Wounds”. The print is a 4 color screenprint on 100% cotton paper with deckled edges, embossed with PCP seal, signed and numbered in an edition of 50. Each print also comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Lunch Bunch Auction Now Live
Ana Bagayan and her amazing Lunch Bunch Project are now having another auction. Artists and galleries have once again donated prints and originals to make sure that this projects can go another round. There are some prints from Benjamin Lacombe, Heidi Alamanda, Emma Mount, Shepard Fairey, Brandi Milne, Joshua Petker, an unreleased print by Scott Musgrove, and some original works by Joe Scarano, Amy Sol, Peter Chan, Lavonia Martin, Tiffany Liu and more.

Joshua Petker “Between Butterflies” @ Corey Helford Gallery
This past Saturday, April 17th, Joshua Petker opened his latest solo show “Between Butterflies” at the Corey Helford Gallery. The show features 20+ new paintings, many of which are in a square format, so 36″ x 36″ and so on. There was quite a lot of work in this show that I was taken in by, as well as a few paintings that I wasn’t too enamored with. Overall this is a great show, colorful and show the continuation of the style that Joshua Petker has been working on. There are also a few paintings that show a more “watercolor” like application of paint, the effect looks great against the white background each painting features.
