“Helpmeat” series by Brett Despotovich

Brett Despotovich is an artist out of Canada, and also runs the Toronto Dr. Sketchy’s. Brett recently informed me of a new series of works that he has just finished entitled “Helpmeat”. Each piece is charcoal and conte on mylar, 8.5″ x 11″, and there are 15 in total. With the background as black as it is, and the figures rendered in monotone, it is really helps that the poses are as dynamic as they are. Some figures also have a mix of muscle and bone showing through, it’s a great effect and really adds to the works. You can find all the works in the gallery, and it looks like there is a calendar with the images available as well.
