Ready for Sylvia Ji’s solo show “Haute Epoch”, opening up this Saturday at the Corey Helford Gallery are two new prints. Each print is on arches infinity paper, signed and numbered in editions of 50. “Buried Alive” (first) is 18″ x 27″ and “Guadalupe” (second) is 18″ x 32″. The prints will be available at the show, or you can get in touch with the gallery early by contacting them at rs@coreyhelfordgallery.com
Seattle based artist EGO was one of the featured artists here on the Creep Machine, and also had painting on show for the “Attack of the B Movie Show” and the current “This is the End” show. Not only is he an amazing tattoo artist, but also a skilled painter with a very unique style and imagination. I am always happy to see new work from him, and very privileged to have his art in any show that I am able to curate.
The piece shown here is the painting that EGO submitted to the “This is the End” group show. It looks so amazing in person, I wish the pictures were good enough to show how dynamic it really is. Surprisingly the piece is still available, but I have a feeling that his work will get harder to come by with every passing show.

Coming this Saturday at the Corey Helford Gallery is the latest solo show from Sylvia Ji. The show is entitled is “Haute Epoch” and features all new works by Sylvia. Some of the styles in this show will be familair to fans of her work, but there is also some newer things she is trying as well. I especially like “Red Crow” (shown first), it still has that facial decoration that she is known for, but is a new twist on it.

Gallery Nucleus has just released a new print from Scott Campbell’s latest show “Home Slice”. The print, “Cloud House”, is 24″ x 36″ 8 color print on Velvet Fine Art paper, signed and numbered in an edition of 30. The original painting was 30″ x 44″, so the print is pretty close in size. Found this over at Iwantyourskull.com. Dave Fox is a tattoo artist out of Philadelphia. He has a pretty unique style that makes for these great cartoon like characters, as seen in the poster set here. In his online shop, Dave has a set of three 18″ x 24″ posters for only $20. As you can see by the preview here, these posters are all about heavy metal in all it’s craziness. The first one shown is my favorite. I don’t often go for colors like that, but that image is over the top and is amazing for being that way.

In one of my SFWeekly.com articles, I featured a print by Terribly Odd. He is currently making a series of “Terribly Small” prints, all of which are on wood and since they are hand made, each one is unique. Bear and Bird gallery has one of the newer releases from this series, “Coffinboy”. This mixed media print is 6″ x 6″, signed and numbered in an edition of 12, and from the looks of the site only 8 are left. So far this is my favorite of the series, even though the Boba Fett one was pretty killer. Can’t wait to see what else the artist comes up with.
