  • “Four Seasons” limited edition by Mia @ A Paper Tiger

The Holiday season is here and some exciting limited editions are as well. A Paper Tiger just released a new print by the artist known simply as Mia. “Four Seasons” is 18.5″ x 24″ on archival textured fine art paper, signed and numbered in an edition of 25 for $150 a piece. This is the largest print the site has done since the David Flores “Klum(blue)” print. The colors and the amount of detail in this painting by Mia is outstanding, this is the type of print that deserves a fancy frame. The last print that Mia had available at the shop is now sold out, this one will surely sell out quickly.

  • “Lust” screenprint by Ken Garduno

Ken Garduno has just added a new print to his etsy shop. “Lust” is based off of a painting by the same name, which happens to be for sale in his shop as well. This is a single color screenprint on cream paper, 18″ x 24″ in an edition of 50 for only $30 a pop. This is a great looking image and a very generous size as well.

  • Art of the Day: “Girl” by Karl Lindberg

Over the weekend a friend of mine told me about an artist he has known for a long time that I should check out. He was pretty sure I would like his work, and he was right. The artist, Karl Lindberg was born in Stockholm, Sweden and attended the San Francisco Academy of Art for 3d animation and modeling. A good majority of his work is concept art, but if you look at the image shown here I think you’ll agree that he could do quite well in galleries. He has some more work over at his homepage, so if you like what you see make sure you stop by

  • “Daddy’s Girl” print by Michael Hussar up for sale

Looks like a Daddy’s Girl print by Michael Hussar is up for sale. The thing about this print is not only is it framed, but it is the very first number in the original edition of 88. This is an insanely popular print, and one that I haven’t seen up for sale from collectors for quite a while. This print has been professionally framed, and looks nice, so you don’t have to worry about that bit if you enjoy the frame. There is a good amount of pics of the print/frame and COA if you check out the link.

  • Black Maria Gallery @ Art Basel Miami

This is the weekend that Art Basel will be taking place in Miami. There is an insane amount of art to be seen, and many of the artists that have been featured on this and other art sites dedicated to “underground” art, are being shown in some of the booths at the event. Black Maria Gallery is one of them, and will be a part of the Aqua Art Miami in booth #23. Some of the artists that will be featured are: Paul Chatem, Steven Daily, Ken Garduno, Jason Hernandez, Tom Neely and more. The preview of works is up on the galleries website if you want to check them all out.
Art Basel is one of the events that I would love to go to, but there are a few other sites that were able to attend and have ongoing coverage. Stop by Arrested Motion and Daily Du Jour for more pics of the work that can be seen at Art Basel this year.

  • “Love Me Love Me Not” by Dave Kinsey

Dave Kinsey will be releasing a new print this Friday, December 4th over at BLK/MRKT Editions. The print “Love Me Love Me Not” is a 4 color screenprint on 100% cotton rag paper, 18″ x 18″ and signed (in gold ink) and numbered in an edition of 200. This is a great looking print, I love the colors used and the brushy marks that fill the image. This is a bit different than the prints he has been releasing, I hope we see more of this kind of work.

  • Artist Profiles: Erin Mulvehill

I have been meaning to add some more photography posts to the site, and am happy to show the work of Erin Mulvehill to kick it off. Currently living in New York, Erin is a graduate of Syracuse University and holds a B.S. in Photography. She states that “my work aims to explore the human connections and subtle nuances that whisper into the ear of our every day.” She has a few series of works on her site, along with some external projects she is working on such as The Camera Project. It was her “underwater” series that really got me hooked on her photography. Each one of these photos is captivating and haunting, you don’t get a clear image of the figures but the emotion they display is very clear.

Head on over to her site to see the full series and the rest of her work: Erin Mulvehill Photography
