  • “Cloud House” print by Scott Campbell

Gallery Nucleus has just released a new print from Scott Campbell’s latest show “Home Slice”. The print, “Cloud House”, is 24″ x 36″ 8 color print on Velvet Fine Art paper, signed and numbered in an edition of 30. The original painting was 30″ x 44″, so the print is pretty close in size. Scott gives a little audio commentary on the piece if you go here Cloud House Audio

  • Heavy Metal Trilogy poster set by Dave Fox

Found this over at Iwantyourskull.com. Dave Fox is a tattoo artist out of Philadelphia. He has a pretty unique style that makes for these great cartoon like characters, as seen in the poster set here. In his online shop, Dave has a set of three 18″ x 24″ posters for only $20. As you can see by the preview here, these posters are all about heavy metal in all it’s craziness. The first one shown is my favorite. I don’t often go for colors like that, but that image is over the top and is amazing for being that way.

  • “Coffinboy” print by Terribly Odd

In one of my SFWeekly.com articles, I featured a print by Terribly Odd. He is currently making a series of “Terribly Small” prints, all of which are on wood and since they are hand made, each one is unique. Bear and Bird gallery has one of the newer releases from this series, “Coffinboy”. This mixed media print is 6″ x 6″, signed and numbered in an edition of 12, and from the looks of the site only 8 are left. So far this is my favorite of the series, even though the Boba Fett one was pretty killer. Can’t wait to see what else the artist comes up with.

  • “Lost in the Thicket” print by Nate Frizzell

Just a short bit after the Brian Despain print, A Paper Tiger has just added a new print by Nate Frizzell to the lineup. “Lost in the Thicket” is 12″ x 15″, signed and numbered in an edition of 25. Here’s a little blurb about the image from the site: “Lost in the Thicket is part of a recent series of paintings I just sent off to Bath, UK. The gnarled trees twisting and surrounding the fragile bunny are meant to represent a sense of being overwhelmed and vulnerable.”

Great looking print, head on over and check it out. Nate Frizzell @ A Paper Tiger

I am sure from either this site, the Lowbrow Art Sale that I wrote for and many other sites, most people are quite familiar with Gelaskins. So from just one shop you can dress up the electronics you use the most, as well as the walls that fill your home.

Since this site is run by just me, all the support really helps to keep the site going. If anyone is interested in snagging up an ad spot, make sure to check out the Advertise page for more info.

Thanks again to Gelaskins, and make sure you head on over to the site and see all that they have to offer. Gelaskins.com

  • Artist of the Day: Justin Reed

Justin Reed doesn’t have a whole lot about himself on his site, other than “(he) was born in 1979, and received a BFA in Illustration from the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth. He currently resides in Vermont.” What drew me to his work, besides being a skilled painter, are these amazing “widescreen” formatted pop mashups that he does. So instead of another painting of a certain Hollywood character, you get a mural style painting that has been treated with Justin’s almost caricaturized way of bringing these figures together.

He does take commissions, and I know that the wait is pretty hefty but it’s bound to only get longer. Also, Dixonfoma has an interview with him that goes through his inspirations and working process.

Head on over and check out his homepage for more works: Justin Reed Art

  • New limited prints by Andrew Bell

Andrew Bell had a print club subscription that sold out just a bit ago, but for any prints left over those of us who did not get the subscription can now snag some of these great prints.
Two new prints have been added to the DeadZebra shop. The first one is “Eat!”, an 18″ x 24″ 5 color screen print, signed and numbered in an edition of 50. The next print is “King of Corn”, a 22″ x 28″ 4 color lithograph, signed and numbered in an edition of 150.

I really dig the “Eat!” print, if you head over to the shop they show what it could look like all framed up. Nice.
