Art of the Day: “Onawa” by Michael Shapcott

Michael Shapcott is in the process of making a new website, and in the meantime has been making some very exciting paintings. The latest paintings have been smaller than most of his work has, and has this perfect blend of materials and textures. One of the latest paintings is “Onawa”, which is the first of a new series and is 8.5″ x 11″ Graphite, Acrylic, and Oil on Illustration Board. I really like this new direction Michael is going and look forward to more works. “Onawa” is available for sale over at Michael’s Etsy Shop, and he even made a new painting video that shows how “Onawa” was made.
