“The North Wind and the Sun” print by Naoto Hattori

Coming April 4th at the Copro Gallery is “Overdose”, a new group show by Hi Fructose. One of the pieces for the show is “The North Wind and the Sun”. The painting is a parody of Botticelli’s “Birth of Venus and Aesop’s Fable “The North Wind and the Sun”. I love much of Naoto’s art, but this has to be my favorite piece from him so far; I am a big fan of Botticelli. The painting is sold already, but a print of it has been added to Naoto’s online shop. The print is 16″ x 20″ signed and numbered in an edition of 50.

I hope Naoto does some more classical figurative pieces like this one.
