Jason Hernandez

Jason Hernandez was born October 13, 1983 in the city of Lakewood. From an early age Hernandez developed a desire to become an artist. Therefore he explored his artistic capabilities and after high school Hernandez continued his education at Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, California; where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Illustration.

Reflected in several of Hernandez’s pieces is the influence of Flemish art of the 14th and 15th centuries as well as current media. Hernandez attempts to capture humor in many of his works as one of his rules to live by is, ” life is too short to be serious all the time.” Jason is currently a freelance artist. He is also currently practicing Graphic Design with Wired Studios located in Cerritos, California. Hernandez has shown in such gallery’s as Black Maria Gallery in Glendale CA, The Hive Gallery in Los Angeles CA, The Cave Gallery in Venice Beach CA, and also Progression Gallery in Pomona CA.

    very interesting work. i like the incorporation of the northern renaissance motif with modern pulp, fantasy and realism. nice ink.
