“Orphan I” original by Ben Tour

Ben Tour currently has a painting up for sale. The painting is from his “Electric Orphans” series, this one is “Orphan I”. The painting is ink and crayon on paper, 23″ x 30″ and framed. You can also see in the image that the edges of the paper are all nicely deckled. It looks amazing in that frame. Every painting from that series is great, but this one is really just perfect looking. Something about the colors and energy in the way Ben puts the ink on the paper, along with that expression the model has, really makes this painting special.

If your interested in snagging this one up, get in touch with Ben here: mistertour@gmail.com

“Fall of the Forest King” print by Julian Callos

Julian Callos is an illustrator out of Los Angeles. He just graduated from Otis, and now has a print available from A Paper Tiger. Being noticed so quickly out of college, it’s not going to long before we see his work in galleries all over the place. The print is 8″ x 8″, signed and numbered in an edition of 10. Here is what the artists says about the print:
“This piece reflects the age-old conflict between man and nature. The Forest King represents the spirit of the forest. He has been felled by human weaponry, signifying the conquest and inevitable destruction of nature by man.”

The print is a giclee on archival paper, 13″ x 18″, titled, signed and numbered in an edition of 88. The print also comes with a certificate of authenticity for $350. Like all of the prints that Birdbath releases, this one is sure to look amazing. This is a great image, I don’t imagine this one will last long at all.

New Alamo Drafthouse posters

The Alamo Drafthouse, which has a habit of playing killer classic movies, has released a few new prints. First is a Night of the Creeps poster by John Smith, Drew Millward has two Goonies posters, and Ken Taylor has some Rocky Horror posters. The gold variant of the Goonies poster is all sold out, but the green is still holding up. The Night of the Creeps is also a glow in the dark poster, how cool is that? I love that movie.
