The main thing about this painting is the textures, wonderful when you look at the piece full view. A nice minimal splash of color with that rusty looking gauze ripping right through the middle of the painting. Looks to be some surgical equipment going on there, some visual elements leading to the idea of necrosis. It’s nice to see a piece that has so much texture also have a theme to it, something that is waiting for you to look into it and find out what is going on. I see way too many painting deal just with texture and no real message to it.
