Dan Harding has been cranking out some really amazing paintings lately. I am always happy to see new work. His imagination is limitless, and his style and execution always surprises. I was thinking about this a few nights ago; Rick Baker and Dick Smith were responsible for making me want to pursue a career in special effects, something I never did finish. If Dan Harding had been creating these works way back then, I would have been hooked on painting at a far younger age. The piece shown below is called “Sunburn”, and is 9″ x 12″. I love the pose and expression this character has, and you’ll be seeing this face soon with a new project that I am working on.

I totally love this piece. I think it is creepy how it looks like he is enjoying the flesh burning from his head. Dan’s texture painting techniques are brilliant.
