Here is the rundown of all the killer art shows that will be happening this weekend.
“The Poor Man’s Art Show” opens at the Rock, Paper, Scissors Collective in Oakland. The reception is from 5pm to 9pm. All the art from this group show will be under $50. Looks to be a great show, and my friend Tony is showing some work in it. Rock, Paper, Scissors
“Artificial Enlightenment†, the solo show of Eric Joyner opens up at the Corey Helford Gallery. There will also be a book release and signing for his new “Robots and Donuts: The Art of Eric Joyner” book. Corey Helford Gallery
“Made in Canada”, a group show featuring five Canadian artists opens at the Bear and Bird Gallery. Check it out here: Bear and Bird Gallery
Greg “Craola” Simkins and David Choong Le both have openings at the Joshua Liner Gallery. This is Craola’s first solo show with the gallery, and from what I have seen all the work looks amazing. Check it out here: Joshua Liner Gallery
“Diverge” The art of Oddzoo opens at the Carmichael Gallery. I really dig the colors in his work, kind of the same vibrancy that you see in Ekundayo’s paintings. Check it out here: Carmichael Gallery
Then, we have “The Blab! Show”. A group show featuring work by Shag, Gary Baseman, Travis Louie, Luke Chueh and many more. There is also work by Ryan Heshka in Gallery 2 and Tom Huck in Gallery 3. Check it out here: CoproNason Gallery
Finally at the Jonathan Levine Gallery is “Ambien Somnambulants”, a solo show of Camille Ros Garcia. The show looks astounding, the colors in these paintings are insane. Head on over and check out all the work: Jonathan Levine Gallery
