Right now there are three Jeff Soto originals for sale.

The first one is actually a sketch that was done for the 2006 San Diego Comic Con. Just a small drawing on 8.5×11″ paper. I tried to find out, but im not sure yet if he will be there for the 2007 Comic Con. Comic Con Drawing

The next two are being sold by the same person, and are both small paintings. Like around 3.5″ blocks. Not super big really, but they are worth looking at. Window shopping if you will. The one I like the most have at the top here.

Two new MeatSpaider auctions

June 13, 2007

MeatSpider studios has two new auctions going on right now, a Cthulhu relic statue similar to the one that I first posted about, and a new one. A Cthulhu Tsathogghua Statue (above), and this thing looks very sweet indeed.

It’s around 8 inches tall and 5 inches wide, the color on this one is great. Have a look at the auctions and maybe pick yourself up one.

“Venus” show art now online

June 9, 2007

Roq la Rue Gallery now has the “Venus” show online for your viewing pleasure. There was a large amount of artists and just looking at the pieces that were shown, you know it was an amazing opening. A lot of the pieces have sold, but there are still a few of them left.

The pieces that I enjoyed the most were: Audrey Kawasaki’s “Amai Wana” (left), Glenn Barr’s ” The Cyprian of Cyprus”, Sarah Joncas’ “Coatlicue’s Prayer”, Lori Earley’s amazing graphite drawing, Lynne Naylor, Sarah Bereza, the acrylic and shell powder work of Fuco Ueda.

This show will continue on till July 7th, so if your in the area make sure you stop by. There is nothing quite like seeing the art in person.

My favorite piece from this series is shown above.

Cristina Beller Huge art sale!

June 8, 2007

Christina Beller, or otherwise known as Asunder, is having a huge art sale (here). She needs to work up some money for an upcoming move. So in order to prepare she is selling off a lot of original work. 21 pieces to be exact, all of which are around 15×20 or so. If you find a piece you like, get a hold of her and she’ll tell you the specifics.

These pieces are selling very cheap, it would be a good opportunity to grab some great artwork from an amazing artist. Take a look at her gallery and you’ll see that this is definitely work that you don’t want to pass up.

…and if anyones in a charitable mood and would like to buy the creep a present I would like the third piece down on the left hand side. Very sweet, as all of them are.

Visit one of the sites below, and you’ll be able to get a hold of her there.

Mark Brown prints and original

June 7, 2007

The CDavis Gallery has some work by Mark Brown for sale. One original painting entitled “The Escapist” and around 7 prints, all of which run about $20.

I haven’t seen this artist before, but one look at the work and you can see a little of a Joe Sorren influence. They are all great pieces, “Eddie the Yeti” and “Transplant” (above) being my favorite.

I can’t seem to find his homepage at all (if he has one) but I did see that he has an Etsy account, so you can snag some work from him there as well.

You can get his original and prints here: Original and prints
Also here is his Etsy page: Mark Brown Etsy Profile

“Loving Robot” original by Jeff Soto

June 6, 2007

Right now there is an original painting by Jeff Soto for sale. The piece is entitled “Loving Robot” and is acrylic on wood, 3.5″ x 6″ x 1.5″. So it’s not very big, but it looks quite sweet.

I don’t see many pieces by Jeff Soto for sale, prints maybe, not originals.

Head on over and take a look: “Loving Robot”

Silver Surfer art

June 6, 2007

Today for about an hour, my eyes were pummeled by the television. While watching this, I saw a new ad for the Fantastic Four movie. I heard the first one wasnt that good, but this new one has Silver Surfer in it. Not matter how corny a surf board riding superhero is, I alwasy liked the character.

So, I looked around for some work on him, prints or originals. I found a good amount.

“MERCEDES” original painting by Michael Hussar

June 1, 2007

Right now there is an original oil painting being sold by Michael Hussar directly.
The painting is of GOTTFRIED HELNWEIN’s daughter, Mercedes who is also an artist. The painting is already framed, and is around 34×38″, as stated on the auction Hussar painted this “alla prima” or all at once.

It looks amazing, I love his use of color and his energetic painting style. He is supposed to have a dvd coming out soon that shows his painting process, I’m eagerly awaiting that.

Here’s the auction:
