New Crazy 4 Cult print for sale.

August 23, 2007

The next Crazy4Cult print is now available for sale. The last one was the Greg Simkins piece “Ed’s Losing”, it was very killer indeed and is now sold out. As promised another print from the Crazy4Cult show is now for sale.

This time you actually get “5″ prints, 5 signed and numbered 4 3/4 x 4 3/4″ prints. The pieces are from Scott Campbell’s set entitled “Showdowns”. These little prints are very cool, 5 little showdowns: Rocky vs. Drago, Ghostbuster vs. Slimer, Han & Chewy vs. StormTroopers, Indiana Jones vs. Some dude from Temple of Doom & Charlton Heston vs. Planet of Apes. I really love how minimal they are, that and they look like the kind of art that would fit some underground zine/comic.

The whole set is limited to only 35, each set is $60. Get em while they last.

Richard Wilkenson prints at BlueFlip

August 23, 2007

Some new prints by Richard Wilkenson are now for sale at BlueFlip Art.

There are nine new prints altogether from Richard, and they look great. He has quite a consistent, beautiful style. If you take a look at his homepage you will see what a solid portfolio he has.
10% of the sales of each print from BlueFlip will go to “Save The Children”, so as always from BlueFlip you will be able to get killer art to fill your home, and help others. Can’t beat that.

Tara McPherson original, THESSALY

August 18, 2007

thessaly.jpg
This may be the first original of Tara’s work that I have seen on sale here, it’s even framed. I don’t really like the frame, I like my frames to be plain so that it doesn’t distract from the painting.

It looks amazing. I love the colors, very vivid. I haven’t seen this image before, it’s from a comic called: “Sandman Presents: Thessaly Witch for Hire #2 of 4″

Head on over and take a look.

Shawn Barber prints, on the cheap.

August 15, 2007

While it’s nice to have a high quality, signed giclee print of Shawn Barbers work, they sell out very quickly. Some of the prints are also only available at shows. So if you have no worries about having a non-collectible, affordable, poster print of his work, there are some available now.

At first I thought this place was selling these poster prints without permission, but I have learned otherwise. These prints are not on nice giclee paper, but rather poster paper. These are cheap, and mainly just a cheap way to score some killer art. So pick one of these bad boys up, and enjoy not having to worry about how well to treat these prints. It will also be quite cheap to frame them. There is quite a few various prints of Shawns work right now, and more on the way.

Ashley Wood original, Lore Cover

August 6, 2007

Right now, eBay is littered with post San Diego Comic Con merchandise, all of which is grossly overpriced. It’s still fun to look at though, and often you see something that isn’t a keychain that was given away and is now magically $8, or a myriad of prints and sketchbooks. I did see this Ashley Wood original oil painting.

It’s for a cover of the Lore comic, and is around 16×20. It shows you how sketchy and loose his style is, it’s quite energetic. I wouldn’t say this is my favorite piece that Ashley has done, I would much rather be able to buy one of these here, but I don’t often see these works for sale.

Maybe one day he will do a show, or release some giclee prints again.

Process Recess 2 book

August 1, 2007

James Jean has a video up, a preview of his new Process Recess book 2. It’s very hard to find the first one, and I know that this new one will sell out very fast. From he said in his blog, “We sold out of our advance copies of the regular and limited editions of PR2″

So expect this new one to drop in about two months. I’m already saving. I missed the last one, and i’m not going to miss this one. He also had a very cool print at the Comic Con that i’m upset I missed.

Head over to his homepage to see the video preview of the new Process Recess Book 2:

Joe Ledbetter print and Qee

July 31, 2007

A Joe Ledbetter canvas print of his “Deathbot SNAfu” piece is up for sale, it’s an edition of 80 and is 12×12. It also comes along with a Joe Ledbetter Qee still in the box.

Quite a good opportunity to snag two pieces at one time. I’ve always liked these Deathbot pieces, pretty crazy looking.

Comic Con ‘07 loot

July 29, 2007

Well the 2007 Comic Con is coming to a close, and I have no idea what happened there besides the info that I get off of other blogs, and my buddies constant bragging.

Looking around I can also see that many of the items for sale at the Comic Con are now being “resold” to you, at highly inflated prices. So if you couldn’t make it to the Con, you can still get some of the goodies that were to be had, for crazy high prices. One of the things I was always interested in getting at these events was artists Sketchbooks. So I have found a few cool sketchbooks to be had:

“Jet Seven” the art of Phil Noto
FRANK CHO SKETCHES & SCRIBBLES book 4
“Thongs You Know By Heart” by Adam Hughes
Adam Hughes color SB.
Joe Linsner “Dawn” Sketchbook
Jim Lee Sketchbook

That’s about it for now, i’m sure more will turn up. There’s also a mad amount of toys and various junk.
