“Panda Series 1″ by Minjae Lee

Minjae Lee was one of the featured artists on the Creep Machine back in 2008. I just checked in to see what he has been up to, and was happy to see a new series of drawings in the works. “Panda Series 1″ is the first in a series and looks amazing. The drawings that were originally shown during Minjae’s feature were colorful, and the application of the materials he uses was very energetic. I like that he still has the same blasts of color in this piece, but the overall drawing is tighter that previous drawings.

I’m looking forward to seeing what the rest of this series will bring. For more of Minjae Lee’s work, make sure you stop by his homepage. Renokim.com

“Minnie” by Tatiana Suarez

Tatiana Suarez just sent over this image of a painting that she has available and I had to share. Not sure exactly what show its from, but its a great homage to Minnie Mouse. The painting is 13″ x 18″ oil on Rives paper, all framed up it’s 19″ x 23.5″. I you look in the framed image you can see the edges are nicely deckled. I love the look and feel of Rives paper, and when displayed properly in a frame like this, it’s very classy.

The painting is available, if interested or just want to look at more of Tatiana’s art, head on over to her homepage:

New works by Dan Harding

Dan Harding just added a couple of new original paintings to his online shop. The shop is also a new addition to his homepage, with a good amount of art available.

The first painting is entitled “Incomplete” and is 8″ x 10″ oil on canvas, then there is “The Strange” 9″ x 12″ oil on canvas. Both of these new paintings are just amazing, the expressions, details and even the colors, which seem to compliment each other so that both paintings seem like they were designed to be shown together. His technical skill along with with his concepts, both dark and humor filled are always a surprise, he never ceases to amaze me. Both these paintings are available as well, and sure to go quick.

“Nicoletta Ceccoli and Eric Fortune” @ Roq la Rue

Opening this Friday, July 24th at Roq la Rue is two solo shows, ” Beauties and Beasts” by Nicoletta Ceccoli and ” Daughters of Our Nature” by Eric Fortune. Both of these artists are amazing and being able to see their work, side by side in the same gallery is making me wish I lived in Seattle. The show is pretty much all sold out, which is not surprising. Both artists have a very dreamy quality to their work, are masters of their mediums and continue to put out high quality art with no sign of stopping.

I like the fact that both Eric and Nicoletta also use acrylic on paper, with Nicoletta adding graphite to the mix. It just shows that in the right hands, acrylic also has the ability to create works of art that have a glow to them often associated with other mediums.

“Skull Transformation Set” by Ken TwoFour

Ken TwoFour has just added some new prints to his Etsy shop. He always seems to create unique prints that are anything but the standard idea of what a print is. The Skull Transformation Set has 4 “prints”, each 3 1/2 X 5 inches, 2 color screen print on 1/4 inch wood. Blue, green, yellow and purple. Hand cut and hand printed by Ken TwoFour at Wearwolf Press in Atlanta. Comes ready to hang on your wall and also has a magnet attached.

This is a really great idea. I think its nice to be able to spruce up your living area or office, and be able to have a choice in how you want to do it.
