Arabella Proffer has just released a new print. It’s a giclee on matte paper print, 11″ x 14″ and is very limited. At the time of writing this, there are only 8 prints left. She will only be selling them to those that contact her through e-mail. So no etsy, ebay or galleries to deal with. The print comes signed and numbered on the back, and with a “bio and family crest as a certificate of authentication”.
If your looking for originals of her work we still have the two Switchblade Sue pieces in the Creep Store for sale.
Head on over to her site and e-mail her to make sure you get one of these prints before they sell out. Arabella Proffer homepage

Billabong’s “Design for Humanity” is going on right now, this time it will benefit the Surfrider Foundation. Brandi Milne has three original paintings that are up on auction for this event.
Each of the paintings are acrylic on wood panel, and look amazing. So not only do you get to score some killer original art, but you also get to help our beaches. All three of the paintings that are on auction have a water theme to them, the one shown is my favorite. I also like how the works have this feel as though they are painted on old drift wood. Must be the staining.

Jonathan Viner has two new prints for sale in his online store. Both of these prints are from paintings that were shown at his solo show “Target Practice”, which took place last January at the Jonathan Levine Gallery.
The two new prints are “Bloodline” (shown) and “Conduit of Dialogue”. Both prints are on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag paper and are limited to an edition of 50. “Bloodline” is 18″ x 24″, and “Conduit…” is 16″ x 24″. Along with these to new prints he also has some original graphite drawings for sale, but it looks like those are going fast. There is only two available out of the six that were for sale. Head on over and check em out.
I featured his print “Trance” back in April, and that one is now sold out. Don’t miss the chance to get one of these new ones.

Tara McPherson has some new prints for sale, a set of three prints actually. The prints are based off of paintings that were on display for her “Lost Constellations” show at the Jonathan Levine Gallery this past March. The paintings were all oil on panel, and it looks like these three prints are based more off of the preliminary drawings for the pieces. So they fit very well with being screenprints.
Much like most of her screenprints, this set is being made by Diesel Fuel Prints in Portland, OR. They make absolutely amazing prints, so I’m sure this set looks perfect. Each print is 15″ x 20″, 5-color serigraph on cotton rag paper and limited to 100. The numbers will be matched in each one of the sets. Here is a link to the “Weight of Water 2 & 3 (not shown).

For the B Movie Show, Arabella Proffer made two pieces. Both of which were influenced by those old girl gang exploitation movies, maybe you have seen some, maybe not. Both pieces feature the character “Switchblade Sue”, the one shown here is “Switchblade Sue Will Cut You”. Both paintings are oil on panel, and are all framed up and ready to go. I especially like this one for th layout, like she’s just showing you the knife like, “Hey, you want me to stick you with this?”
Hit the link to the store and check out these two paintings, as well as the others. A good majority of them have sold so far, but there are still some amazing works left.

I have a huge list of artists whose work I enjoy, one of them is Illustrator Jason Goad. He has a killer style, and his cross-hatching is quite enviable.
He has released two other sketchbook before a while back, and now he has a new one available for purchase. This sketchbook contains various excerpts from his sketchbooks and lineart. 24 pages of killer illustrations. The book is limited to 100 and it looks like the cover can be either yellow, blue, purple, red or green.
If you want to pick one of these up, head on over and grab one before they are gone.

This drawing that was used for the “Daddy’s Girl” painting was auctioned off a while ago to help the Lithium Picnic defense fund. Well it’s back up for auction. The painting was sold long ago, and print of the piece show up quite rarely and sell for quite a bit. I remember a thumbnail sketch was sold as well, but of course being a thumbnail sketch it was quite small and rough.
This is for an 8″ 10″ drawing, it is also framed and protected with UV glass and acid-free materials. The drawing was purchased directly from Michael, so there is a receipt and most importantly provenance. All framed up it’s around 13″ x 17″, and it looks amazing. I would love to have the original painting, but I think having the drawing would be just as cool.
Check it out here, the painting is shown here you can see the drawing at the link: Daddy’s Girl Original Drawing

Justin Kamerer aka Angryblue has a new print up for sale. It’s the Blackmetal Beethoven, with Joker style colors. I think it’s a killer idea to mix the iconic Joker colors with the “black metal” style of face painting. The print is a 6 color print, with metallic purple and metallic red. It’s a hefty 18″ x 24″ and is limited to an edition of 75.
You can also check out the whole process of making this print, and get a good idea of how vibrant the colors are over on this online sketchbook at Creativestem.com. I really dig seeing the process of these prints, it shows you just how much work goes into each one of these.

David MacDowell has some new paintings available at the ThinkSpace Gallery. Four of them to be precise. “All of them Witches” has been there for a little bit, but there is now three new paintings. “Night of the Hunter”, “Welcome to the Terrordome” (shown) and the very cool “Oompa Loompacino”.
His work is getting more and more sought after, so I was pretty lucky to have two works of his in the B Movie Show. His paintings are really quite amazing to look at in person. Not only does he paint quick, but they are very clean and the colors are amazing. I don’t think pictures on the web will ever show how spectacular most of the work we see really is, and I know first hand that they don’t show how vibrant David’s works are.
If you look in the piece shown above, you will see a small version of the “Queen of the Deep” in it. His work is always a blast to look at, and I am getting quite anxious to see a solo show of his work.

Tara McPherson has a new giclee available of her oil painting, “How They Fly Away So Easily”. The painting was first shown at her solo show “Lost Constellations” at the Jonathan Levine Gallery this past February. The original sold at the show, but now we can pick up one of the prints of this killer painting.
The print is 18″ x 24″ giclee on Somerset Velvet Paper, coated with UV varnish and limited to 100. And of course, it’s signed and numbered. This is a really great print, I love the colors and the layout. She uses some really eye catching colors in her work, but are often too “bright” for me, this one however is just right.
